Risk Management
ANU Risk Portal Home Home

Risk can be broadly defined as any event that has an impact on the realisation of the University’s stated objectives. Significant areas of risk include those that may reasonably present a risk to the University’s key assets (reputation, people, finances, infrastructure, intellectual property).

This web portal provides an entry point for staff and students to a range of information and tools to assist in the application of risk management principles with the following aims:

  • To provide a single point of reference for risk management (a “one-stop shop”);
  • Develop and communicate a common language and understanding of risk management;
  • Improve the assessment, management and reporting of enterprise wide, operational and specialist risks;
  • Assist the University to meet statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Assist Colleges and Administrative divisions to provide annual assurance to the ANU Council and Vice Chancellor on the status of the management of key risks.
